Environmental Signage Shire of Ashburton
Outdoor Signs
Working again with another design studio this project in Tom Price won awards on a national level. A bronze medal was awarded by the Australian Sign and Graphics Association and the bi-annual ASGA Australian National Awards in the category of Fabrication. Beautifully designed and executed wayfinding and directional outdoor signs which the client Shire of Ashburton were over the moon with.
Materials:
- Fabricated Aluminium Plinth panels to a height of 6m
- Fabricated/routered ACM Pavillion signage with multiple angles and faces
- Router cut and 2 pack painted acrylic logos and lettering
- Computer cut filmwork for panels with 2 pack finish and clear coating
Challenges Overcome:
Biggest challange here was the distance!!!! Tom Price is a 3 hour flight from Perth so the initial site survey had to be spot on especially for the Pavillion outdoor signage which was joined together wrapping around a right angled wall. This Pavillion sign was the award winner with various faces and angles which all had to meet up perfectly on the corner. They are very well designed outdoor signs and even better executed fabrication and installation. Everything had to be spot on and made in Perth then freighted to site and installed.
