Corporate Signage Austral Fisheries/Psaros Builders
We were contacted by the Managing Director of Austral Fisheries for some ideas on their pending large custom signs for their new premises. Having been impressed, a referral was passed on to the builders of the new premises – Psaros Builders. Both clients were to be tenants of the new building and both clients wanted to maximise their prime visibility and exposure to the adjoining freeway and main roads with large custom signs. Needless to say it was a big project, with big challenges.
Signage Materials:
- Exterior signage fabricated from Aluminium frameworks with conceal fixed ACM faces mounted to the external walls.
- Fabricated logos from Acrylic, with 100mm returns internally housed LED lighting systems with computer cut vinyl graphics to face of logo.
- Interior signage was made from fabricated stainless steel mounted off the wall with LED halo effect behind plus other router cut acrylic lettering and vinyl graphics.
Challenges Overcome:
This project was full of different challenges to the team mainly revolving around the sheer size of the large custom signs relevant to fabrication, transport and installation. Deep consideration needed to be taken with regard to weight, installation access and serviceability.
Consequently, every metal item was made from aluminium to address excess weight, the signage was fabricated in a complex set of components and the best quality materials and LED components were used to maximize signage lifespan and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance. A series of transport runs were undertaken, 80 foot cherry pickers and Hiab cranes required to lift and position the signage, in conjunction with contracted traffic control and local Government approval and process review – an interesting situation when installing on a main street leading into the Perth CBD!
Testimonial:
“All looks good, sign lights up well at night and is obvious from the freeway, internal reception signage looks great as well. The team is very happy…a good result, thanks for your help”
